Thank you everyone who contributed to the raffle on Sunday and for everyone who brought tickets. It has raised just over £1000! Billy’s family have requested that the funds be donated to #clockwork so thank you thank you.

Bellow is a note from Linda Smith

Today was a different day in the life of a Children’s Centre Manager. I was invited to the 21st birthday celebration of Billy Plowman. Billy attended Kestrels nursery (our staff all started their careers at this nursery) with his little sister Lexi, their family was an everyday “normal” family. We all loved Billy, just as we loved all the children who came to the centre. Billy didn’t come to his 21st birthday party because Billy isn’t here anymore after taking his life at such a young age no one can quite believe it’s happened. Billy’s family and the Clockwork Charity (set up in Billy’s memory) want to make sure no other family have to experience the pain they feel everyday. Billy lived in Tandridge, firstly attending Marden Lodge school in Caterham and then Oxted school, he was a child who always enjoyed life while hiding in the shadow of other children. So, here’s the thing, let’s not let this happen again, we all know our children need support and yet, the budgets have been cut, and cut, and cut, waiting lists for CAMHS are too long, youth provision is almost non-existent, schools are struggling to pay for pastoral support and GP’s don’t really have the skills or time to really get down to the level of a teenager and find out what they need. So how about as a community we keep asking for the help our children need. And in the meantime let’s support the charities like clockwork: https://www.google.co.uk/url…
